Yes, the swimming pool is exclusively for the private use of our guests. We accept only one booking at a time, so you will never share the pool with other guests. We, the hosts do not use the pool during your stay, we only take care of cleaning the pool.
Playa de Cotobro is located at the bottom of our street, approximately 250 metres downhill from the villa. Please bear in mind that the walk back is uphill.
Playa de San Cristóbal, one of Almuñécar’s best-known beaches, is less than 1 km away. A car park is opposite the beach, which costs €5 per day and is open from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. from June-September. An underground car park beneath the seafront promenade is also available at the same place.
Almuñécar stretches along approximately 17 km of coastline and offers many different beaches, so there is always one nearby to discover. Overall sunbeds and umbrellas are available for € 6 – € 7 per person at the beach.
Most of the time we will be available. We live on the upperfloor, but you won’t see us a lot. We have a separate entrance to the house and another gate to the street. However when you need information, tips on restaurants/ excursions or need any help, a simple knock on our front door will be the trick.
To ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests all year long, pets are not allowed at Villa Bugambilla.
Yes, air-conditioning is available throughout the accommodation. The air-conditioning unit in the apartment’s living room also has a heating function for cooler winter days.
The villa is available up to 4 persons or up to 6 persons.
The apartment accommodates up to four guests and has two bedrooms with double beds, each with its own en-suite bathroom.
For bookings of five or six guests, an additional studio with a double bed and private en-suite bathroom is included on the same floor.
In total, Villa Bugambilla offers 3 double beds and 3 en-suite bathrooms for up to six guests.
Booking your stay is simple. Check the availability on our website and submit your booking request using the online booking form.
Once we receive your request, we will confirm the availability and send you a booking confirmation together with the payment details, if not yet paid online.
Your reservation is secured after we receive the required payment.

Early check-in or late check-out is available free of charge if we do not have a same-day changeover. This means that no other guests are checking out on your arrival day or checking in on your departure day. Please let us know your preferred times in advance, and we will confirm whether this is possible.
If we do have a same-day changeover, the standard check-in and check-out times will apply. However, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us, provided that we, the hosts, are at home. Please arrange this with us in advance.
While we prepare the accommodation, you could enjoy breakfast or lunch in Almuñécar or spend some time at the beach. If you have a later flight after check-out, you could also enjoy a final day in Málaga and use the luggage-storage facilities at the airport.
Villa Bugambilla does not have a sea view, but it offers something just as special: a beautiful garden, spacious terraces and a private swimming pool, all exclusively for you to enjoy.
Yes, each bathroom has a hairdryer available.
Yes, we have a separate room available for ironing and washing.
Bed linen, one small and one large towel per bed are included. A washing machine is available if you would like to do laundry during your stay. Additional bed linen and towels can be provided as also beach towels are available. All for a small fee to cover the laundering costs.
Yes, there is one parking spot behind a fence, however parking on the street is also for free, in case you are with more then one car.
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available. Villa Bugambilla is connected to a fibre-optic network, providing a fast and reliable connection. To help maintain a stable connection, the router automatically restarts once every 24 hours. If you have Wi-Fi troubles, just alarm us and we’ll fix it.
Yes, but only outdoors. Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation, helping us to keep it clean and odour-free for all guests.
It depends. If you are reasonably fit and do not mind the uphill walk back to the villa, you can manage without a car. A local bus stop is located at the bottom of the street, offering inexpensive connections throughout Almuñécar. Taxis within the town are also reasonably priced.
However, if you plan to explore the surrounding area or enjoy some of the excursions featured in our blogs, a car is much more convenient.
Travelling from Málaga Airport by public transport can take quite some time, while a taxi to Almuñécar can easily cost around €90-€ 110.
We personally find having a car convenient, although a scooter can be more practical for getting around Almuñécar during the more busy high season.
