Location

The surroundings of your next adventure 🗺️

Cotobro

Playa de Cotobro, 4 min. walk (300 m)
Local Bus to Almuñécar, 4 min.walk (300 m)
Almuñécar centre, 5 min. drive (1.5 km)

The house is located in the Cotobro area, known for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views of the sea and the green surroundings. The area has some lovely small beaches. At Playa de Cotobro you can enjoy sunbathing and swimming in a more relaxed setting than the busier beaches in the centre of Almuñécar. The centre is not too far by bus, foot or car, which makes it easy to explore the city’s facilities and activities, while still enjoying the tranquility of a residential area. Cotobro is perfect for those looking for a relaxed lifestyle and proximity to the coast and the city.

Almuñécar

Almuñécar is a charming town on the Costa Tropical in Spain, located in the province of Granada. It is known for its beautiful beaches, mild climate, and rich history.

Activities

Some recommendations for your adventure 💃

Wining and dining: you will find many good restaurants in Almuñécar and its surrounding cities. A few of our favorites are:

  • Balcon de Cotobro
  • Seiva Fusion
  • La Bonita Beach
  • Nuovo Sardegna
  • Don Olivo

Almuñécar and La Herradura combined have about 17 kilometers of beach. Beds and umbrellas can be rented at the busier places for reasonable prices. The beaches can be made of either rocks or sand, so if you prefer one, be sure to check beforehand!

There is also a nudist beach not too far from the house at Playa el Muerto. Just go down to the beach, turn right and walk for about 300 meters along the seaside.

For the younger (at heart 😉) Waterpark Aquatropic on Paseo Reina Sofía is just 10-15 minutes by car or bus!

You can also explore the beaches of Salobreña, Torrenueva and Calahonda, which are worth a visit.

The smaller town of La Herradura is also part of the city of Almuñécar. It is known for its boulevard and beach, some great restaurants and a castle.

The city of Nerja is 20 minutes away and a must-see. The famous Balcón de Europa and its view are incredibly beautiful. Do not forget to visit a tapas bar in and around Calle Almte. Ferrándiz. You can also walk along the Rio Chillar or visit the refreshingly cool caves at Cueva de Nerja.

If you are prepared to travel a bit farther you can visit the cities of Málaga and Granada. For an exciting hike you really need to visit the Caminito del Rey.
